Love it or hate it, it seems that reality TV is here to stay. With more and more reality TV shows in the works, television viewers are more likely to encounter something that they can enjoy. But it seems the news that Budweiser becomes reality TV Act a little strange. What is the brewery thinking and what type of show they produce?
Mobilize Sports connections
Budweiser has a long history of being connected to major U.S. Sports, from football to NASCAR. That the relationship will be the basis for the new show, entitled currently "Bud United presents: The Big Time". The show will focus on a group of participants with the same sporting dream. For example, the four contestants who have always wanted to go up against an NBA all-star or something similar. These four contestants would associate with celebrities and athletes who were to train and educate athletes. At the end of the show, one of the contestants chosen to go on and live their dream.
It is not set in stone
Although it sounds like Budweiser have things well in hand, it may not be as simple as that; the word is that they've been shopping there with various networks for some time now, and there must be some actual bites yet. Part of this is likely due to the first scheduled 10 sections are not yet ready to air until the summer of 2012. Another part is that there can be a very good product.
The real question-why?
So, why do this? Budweiser What do reality TV has to do with brewery beer? This last tactic actually has almost nothing to do with beer at all. According to the company they are trying to "expand their global platform" beyond what they are known for the offer.
The company has already made it to a certain extent, with Bud House web-show in 2010. They also have some interesting new ads out now. In addition, not new show about consuming beer, although the logo and the products will be displayed during airings of "appropriate" time.
The question of whether the new Budweiser reality show is a hit left to see, but with their unique connections in the world of sports and Hollywood, it may actually happen.
