Beer Pong-how to play America's Favorite drinking game

Beer pong is a very simple but fun game. There are two teams, each team sets up 6 to 10 cups in a triangle formation on their page in a table. Each of the cups are filled with liquid roughly 1/4 high. Although the game contains the word "beer", it is not necessary that someone actually drink alcohol. Each team takes turns throwing 40 mm ping pong balls in the second team cups. When a ball enters a opposing team cup, the Cup is now deleted. The first team to drop all of their opponents cups is declared the winner!

Sounds pretty simple right? Well, in practice, a beer pong game rarely this simple. We have just gone over the most needed for each game, now we go over some of the optional rules which make the game so unique from place to place.

When Bouncing is in the game, a player must bounce the ball off the table and the Cup. If the Cup is successful here, is that the cup and another cup away from the table. The downside to bouncing is that when the ball touching the table, there is fair play, and can be swatted by the opposing team. It is best to only use bounce control when you are positive your opponents don't pay attention because otherwise it is just a waste of a shot. You can't win the game on a bounce, so if there are 2 cups left and you bounce the only counts 1 Cup. If there is 1 cup left and you bounce the counter does not.

Redemption is the very popular rule is almost always in the game. If all your copper hit, do you still have a chance to win. By winning the redemption, please send the game to a 3-Cup in overtime. Redemption is a ' shoot till you miss ' shot. If there are 3 cups when your last Cup is hit and you hit all 3 cups in a row on your redemption, you will send the game into over time. Over time, is played with 3 cups on each side in a triangle formation, uniform rules shall apply.

Capture is a rare but fun rule. If a ball is rolled past the other edge of the table and hits nothing, the opposing team can catch the ball, which forces the throwing team removing a cup from their side. The ball must be caught with one hand, and it must be a clean catch, no fumbling for the ball. This is a good rule because it keeps the game interesting.

I run a Web page actually has beer pong tables for sale. They are all regulation eight feet beer pong tournament tables, the same used in major tournaments. I've played beer pong for about 8 years now and have participated in the major national events twice, placing 19th and 14th respectively.
